### Building with the Symmio architecture

Symmio is built on a modular architecture: the Diamond Standard for upgradeable contracts, the AccountLayer for account management, and a set of specialized facets that handle trading. This section is the guide to those core components, whether you're building a frontend or a utility on top of the protocol.

#### Overview

These pages explain how the Symmio ecosystem is structured and how the pieces fit together: modularity, upgradeability, and separation of concerns, and how those choices keep trading secure and efficient. What's covered:

* **Diamond explainer:** the Diamond Standard (EIP-2535) at the core of Symmio, including facets, selectors, and storage management.
* **Account creation and funding:** creating a sub-account, then depositing and allocating collateral for trading.
* **Sending and closing quotes:** opening a trade by sending a quote, and the standard close flow, including the states involved and the roles of PartyA and PartyB.
* **Instant trading:** the instant-open and instant-close variants for immediate execution, and the trade-offs against the standard flow.
