# Contract Modifications

### Licensing[](https://docs.uniswap.org/contracts/v3/guides/governance/liscense-modifications#licensing) <a href="#licensing" id="licensing"></a>

Please note that the SYMM Core is under BUSL license until the Change Date, \
currently 12-31-2027. \
\
Exceptions to the license may be specified by SYMM Governance via [Additional Use Grants](/legal-and-brand/terms-of-service-and-licensing/contract-license/contract-use-grants.md), which can, for example, allow the CORE to be deployed on new chains or be released in partnership with new Frontends.&#x20;

The process to request a DAO vote for exceptions to the license or move up the Change Date will be released soon.

Modifications of the Change Date should be specified at [Contract Modifications](/legal-and-brand/terms-of-service-and-licensing/contract-license/contract-modifications.md), and Additional Use Grants should be specified at [Contract Use Grants](/legal-and-brand/terms-of-service-and-licensing/contract-license/contract-use-grants.md).&#x20;

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.symm.io/legal-and-brand/terms-of-service-and-licensing/contract-license/contract-modifications.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
